Our Story
Founded by Chris Senior, Director of celebrated Cambridge architectural practice PiP Architects, Stemma builds on decades of design and development experience in the residential housing sector.
Founded on decades of partnerships with other developers, Chris formalised his ambitions to establish his own development company, to push the boundaries of what he has to offer the market place.
By creating Stemma Land + Homes, Chris and John aim to fill a widening gap in the market for attractive, well-proportioned properties that package intuitive design, quality materials and eco-friendly technologies into long term homes.

Chris Senior
Director
An ambitious designer, Chris has led a diverse range of exceptional residential development projects over the past 20 years and founded the highly successful architecture practice PiP Architects. His strong interest in sustainable design and contextual integrity is evident throughout his portfolio of award-winning projects. Chris brings an ambitious drive and extensive knowledge of the construction industry to each of Stemma’s endeavours.
John Lorimer
Director
An experienced professional in the residential sector, John brings 30 years of mixed experience in real estate, property development, land acquisition, planning negotiation and joint ventures. Providing hands-on direction to all operations, John offers the honest and straightforward advice and consultancy needed to keep a project moving from conception to completion.
Steve Walder
Finance Director
With a long and highly respected career within the banking industry, Steve brings almost 35 years of corporate experience in real estate finance, accounting, and joint ventures to the team. His previous positions include Director at the prestigious Coutts Bank and more recently of his own highly-respected finance consultancy. Steve’s knowledge, passion and professionalism will ensure every Stemma project is carefully managed to ensure financial success.
